July is the middle of winter for us Aussies. Which means I’ve added a light cardigan to my uniform of t-shirt and shorts. Somedays I even swap my thongs for sneakers.
I’ve spent the cool evenings excitedly writing the very first posts of Can we not evolve?, letting the process take on a life of its own. None of this is planned or overly edited. Just letting the words flow and fall as they may.
I started with one main project and ended up creating a plethora of mini-series. Yikes! What have I done? 🤪
Project 30:
I secretly wish I was a Swifty. It’s sad. I know addresses the fact I just really want to fan-girl over something, anything. I want that kind of crazy passion and obsession in my life. But what if I’m just not built for that?
What to expect when you’re expecting word from ‘Can we not evolve?’ is a must read admin-y post about the who, what, when, where and why of this publication.
Mini-series:
Not a Poet: Unlike the tide, you may come and go, and not come again shares two private entries from my diary, expressing the conflict, confusion and beauty of letting go of friendships.
The Internal(list): The things we hold dearest is my excuse to tell you about my objects of affection, the household items that are imbued with my love. I’m pretty obsessed with this topic at the moment, so you’ll be hearing more about it.
Hidden Gems: Parenting, marriage, reading, storytelling, healing. Just like you, I love reading about the lives and thoughts of fellow humans. I’ve been finding so many writers and articles on the Substack app, it was so hard to choose just a few to share with you.
Notes: The social side of Substack
