I really enjoyed this post and completely believe that while things are just things, it’s the memories and personal connections that give them true value. It’s so challenging to distinguish between what we want and need, and what we like versus what we think we should like. Having a signature scent has been one of the most meaningful things for me; even though I don’t wear it often, it brings a sense of peace and makes me feel like myself. Right now, my signature necklace is broken, and I feel odd without it. I tried a temporary replacement, but it just doesn’t feel the same. It’s fascinating how we are like walking pieces of art, each accessory reflecting a part of who we are. I’d love to hear others’ thoughts on how personal items shape their sense of identity. Feel free to check out my posts where I explore similar themes and share your insights!
Thank you for the lovely reply! 💛 I’m so glad you enjoyed my post. It’s awesome to find that we’re on the same wavelength ✨ Your writing really resonated with me, and I’m looking forward to more of your work!
I don’t really identity with any article, though if I had to choose it would be some of the articles from the consilience project. There’s a really good one on the education crisis. Which probably resonates with me as I hated school and see how it turns the bright light into dim flares…
If I had to choose one of my own it would be the one about writing being the same as reading, which has a really poetic tone to it. Gonna think some more about it.
